MARION Flaws of Kirkwall today, Tuesday, told Glasgow High Court how
she ran from the Mumutaz restaurant after hearing a shot, fearing that
everyone there would be killed.
Miss Flaws, 65, was working as a waitress at the Mumutaz restaurant in Kirkwall's Bridge Street
with waiter Shamsuddin Mahmood when he was shot and killed on June 2,
1994.

Witnesses sought to window breaking A WINDOW was smashed on Junction Road, near to Tankerness Lane, between 7pm on Friday and the early hours of Saturday.
A police spokesperson said they have a positive lead on the incident, but would still like to hear from anyone who was in the area at this busy time and may have seen something relevant.

Primary School targeted by vandals A SIGNIFICANT amount of damage was caused to Papdale Primary School between Friday May 2 and Monday 5.
The building, a notice board and trees in the school grounds were damaged.

Caravan break-in attempt SOMEONE attempted to enter a caravan at the Sands of Wright, South Ronaldsay, last week, causing damage to the caravan door.
The incident took place between 4pm last Monday, May 5, and 4pm the following day.
